The Islamic Study Group of Nigeria (ISGON) is a non-profit, faith-based organization founded by Professor Hussein Akande Abdul-Kareem, a distinguished scholar and biochemist whose vision was to inspire a deeper understanding of Islam through study, reflection, and service to humanity.

Established in Nigeria in the late twentieth century, ISGON has grown into a respected platform for Muslims across universities, professional circles, and communities who seek balanced Islamic knowledge rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah. From its inception, the group has aimed to strengthen the intellectual, spiritual, and moral foundations of Muslims, encouraging them to live with integrity, compassion, and purpose in every sphere of life.

ISGON organizes regular study circles, seminars, public lectures, and inter-faith dialogues, providing members with opportunities to engage critically with Islamic scholarship and contemporary social issues.
